Honeymoon Planning Checklist - Packing for Your Honeymoon

You'll spend months planning the perfect wedding then, in a flash, it's over. Make sure you also devote time and energy into planning the perfect honeymoon. Following is a honeymoon planning checklist of tasks to complete prior to your honeymoon and items to consider when packing for your honeymoon.

  • Take care of any vaccination requirements
  • Pick up travelers checks or foreign currency
  • Confirm your flight and other reservations
  • Arrive at the airport early to avoid any last minute problems
  • Obtain travel insurance, if need be

  • Bathing suit
  • Hair dryer, travel iron or steamer (although check with the hotel since some hotels provide these items)

  • Clothesline and clothespins to hang up wet bathing suits or any items requiring a quick cleaning

  • Locks and keys for your luggage

  • Passports and visas
  • Plastic baggies to pack up dirty items or shoes when returning home again

  • If traveling to a developing country, pack something to help you through a potential bout of diarrhea
